A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Sisters last night for the Fourth Friday Art Stroll reception at Twigs Gallery. Kristin and I really enjoyed talking to all of you and sharing our work with you.  Although the reception was last night, the show will continue to hang through the third week in May, so if you didn't get a chance to go up you still have time!

An extra special Thank You to the ladies at Twigs/The Stitchin' Post who did a really fabulous job of hanging the show.  We are so grateful for that!  And, of course, to anyone who purchased a piece of art (or two, or three) - we are happy to share what we do with you and to know that it is appreciated.

A lot has been going on in my little glass world.  Up until recently I felt like I was struggling to get my work out here in Central Oregon.  But now I feel like like I am starting to spread my wings!

And I have been invited to show my glass alongside my sister, Kristin Shields, an art quilter, at the Twigs Gallery adjacent to The Stitchin' Post in Sisters.  There is an artist reception for this show this Friday  April 22 from 4pm to 7pm.  We will both be there to greet you and are looking forward to meeting many new faces!

All in all, I feel my wings are spreading and in honor of that, here are a few feather pieces I have made recently --

These are about 3" x 8" and each has a metal ring for hanging on the wall.  These will be available starting Friday at the Twigs Gallery for the show I mentioned above.  I am also able to take custom orders for these, so please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested in any feathery beauties for your home.
